Regional Sportsfest

The sportsfest was amazing! The team and I had so much fun playing dodgeball against other schools. I was in the mixed dodgebal with Shantel, Katherine R, Catherine M, Mercedes,Grace, Ethen,Tyler,Calvin and Jarden. Our team went great, we had good teamwork and we communicated well. We also supported each other and cheered the team on. What I did to help the team was support them, cheer them on and get the opposing team members out. The venue and organisation worked well, they did fair play and they gave us balls after the whole tournament. (We even got a trophy for coming third place). Some suggestions that I have for next year is that the bus that is picking us up should come earlier. So instead of picking us up at 2:30 the bus should come at 2:15  and all the games should end on time, so that the kids that need to catch the bus or train don't miss it.

NZ flags

For this weeks task we need to talk about the four flags we think that the committe should choose to be in the referendum.

The top four flags that I like best would be:

1.  White and Black Fern
2. Koru (black)
3. Southern Koru
4. Manwa (balck and green)

The four flags I have chosen is my top four. I have chosen these four flags because they kinda grabbed my attention unlike the other flags that were on that page.

Reason why we shoud change the flag:

• So our flag doesn't look a lot like Australias flag
• It will look better (probably)
• Makes us look creative

Reasons why we shouldn't change the flag:

• Takes to much effort making it
• Most of the flag options look pretty bad
• Our original flag is perfectly fine.

My overall opinion is that we shouldn't change the flag because some people might not like the new flag and it's a waste of time and effort... and we'll also be wasting our money designing a new flag. 

Art

The sort of art I enjoy doing is sketching because its really easy and you can draw it lightly in pencil so if you make a mistake you can rub it out. The smudging is also pretty cool because it gives you a 3D effect. The art skills I want to work on is drawing hands and the positioning of the legs because for me I find it really hard. My idea for the art exhibition is that we should make stars out of sparkly pieces of paper and hang them somewhere so they can dangle.

Dinner Guests

If I could invite two people to dinner, those two people would be Amy Lee and Lana Parilla.





Amy Lee is an American singer signed to South Korean record label YMC Entertainment. She is better known by her stage name Ailee. She debuted in 2012 with "Heaven" and her vocals are amazing. I really look up to Ailee because she gives it her all when she is performing and she's really nice.

The questions I would ask Ailee is:

• What kind of vocal training did you do?
• Do you think you are doing well as a singer?
• Can I get you signature and a photo with you?
• How long do you practice your dances for?
• Did you want to debut as a group or a solo artist?
• Can you come and perform in Wellington?

Lana Parilla is an American actress and is best known for her roles on television. I would really like to meet her to discuss Once Upon a Time with her. Lana Parilla is one of my favourite actors, her acting is really good and the way she acts Regina and the Evil Queen is really cool.

The questions I would ask Lana Parilla is:

• What is you favourite part in Once Upon a Time?
• Do you like playing the role as the Evil Queen, Why?
• If you weren't the Evil Queen who would you want to act as instead?
• What does it feel like acting as the Evil Queen and Regina?
• Is it fun acting with everybody else in Once Upon a Time, why?
